Privacy policy

Effective date: 3 November 2026. Applies to the Telli iPhone app (“Telli: Car Guide & Service”) and to this website, jtclub.co.za.

In short: Telli does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal data. There is no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. What you type into the app stays on your iPhone.

What data we collect

None. The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifier, usage data, crash data or diagnostics, and it has no server that receives data from it. On the App Store this is shown as “Data Not Collected”.

The app works offline. It connects to the internet only when you buy, start the trial of, or restore Telli Pro, and that connection is between your iPhone and Apple.

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to answer you (see keeping and deleting your data).

What stays on your iPhone

So the app works as you expect, it saves a few things on your iPhone only:

your car setup (model, year, trim, engine);
your odometer, service dates and service log, if you enter them;
your ticked checklists;
whether you are on the Telli Pro trial or have bought Telli Pro.

We cannot see any of it. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Ask Telli (on-device AI)

Ask Telli answers your questions from Telli’s own guides, and it runs entirely on your iPhone. Your questions and its answers never leave the phone, and are not sent to us, to Apple or to any AI provider.

Notifications

If you turn on a service or trial reminder, iPhone asks your permission first. The reminder is scheduled on your phone; no data is sent anywhere. You can turn notifications off at any time in iPhone Settings.

Purchases and the free trial

The 7-day Telli Pro trial and the Telli Pro purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app only that the trial or purchase happened. We never receive your name, card or payment details, or Apple ID. Apple’s own privacy policy applies to payments.

We do not share, sell or rent any data with third parties, because we hold none.
No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics, no profiling.
The app contains no third-party code (SDKs) that collects data.
No account or sign-in exists.
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from other websites. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and protect the service; we do not use them to identify or track you.

Keeping and deleting your data

In the app: your data stays on your iPhone for as long as you keep the app. You can change it in the app at any time. Deleting the app deletes all of it. It may also be in your own iPhone or iCloud backup, which you and Apple control.
Purchases: your purchase record is kept by Apple so you can restore Telli Pro; we have no copy.
Emails to us: kept only as long as needed to help you, then deleted. Ask us at any time to delete your messages and we will.

Children

Telli is a guide for car owners and is not aimed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 18.

Your rights under POPIA (South Africa)

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use. Because the app collects nothing, the only information we could hold is an email you sent us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If a future version of Telli would collect or send any data, we will say so on this page and in the App Store listing before that version is released, and ask your permission in the app where the law requires it.

Telli is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Jetour or any car manufacturer.
