Questions owners ask

Is Telli the official app from the carmaker?

No. Telli is an independent app for Jetour T1 and T2 owners in South Africa. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Jetour or any car manufacturer. All text and drawings are our own, not copied from any manual.

Does it need internet or an account?

No. Everything works offline and there is no account or sign-in. Only buying or restoring Pro needs a connection.

What is free and what does Pro cost?

Free: warning lights, search, 8 of the 33 guides, service basics, road tyre pressures, road help and the “Before you go” checklist. Try Telli Pro free for 7 days; nothing is charged automatically. To keep Pro after the trial it is one payment of R299.99 in South Africa, which unlocks all 33 guides, Ask Telli, all voice commands, checklists, gravel and sand pressures and future guides. No subscription.

How does the 7-day trial work?

Open any Pro guide and tap “Start 7-day free trial”. Pro switches on straight away. After 7 days it switches off on its own unless you buy Telli Pro. You can take the trial once.

I bought Pro but it still shows locked.

Open Telli, go to the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases, signed in to the same Apple ID you bought with. Restoring needs internet. Still stuck? Email us with the date on Apple's receipt; we cannot see payments, but we will help.

I got a new iPhone. Do I lose Pro?

No. Install Telli, sign in with the same Apple ID and tap Restore Purchases. Your car setup and service log come across only through your own iPhone backup.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles purchases and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides each request.

Can I rely on it instead of my manual or dealer?

No. Telli is general guidance and may differ by market, year or trim. Your manual and dealer are the authority. If a warning light worries you, stop safely and contact your dealer.

A light on my car is missing, or something is wrong.

Email a clear photo of the light and the cluster around it, your model, year and trim, and what the car was doing. We check it against South African sources and fix it in an update.

Do you collect my data?

No. See the privacy policy. No account, no analytics, no ads.

iPad, Android or other languages?

Telli is for iPhone (iOS 17 or later), in English, and is available in South Africa only for now. Tell us what you would like next.

Sources and accuracy

Telli is written by an independent team, not by Jetour. Figures such as sizes, towing, warranty and drive modes come from Jetour South Africa's published specifications, and otherwise from at least two South African motoring publications that agree. Anything we have not yet confirmed on a South African car is marked “Check on your car”. More on the About page.

If a warning light worries you, stop safely and contact your dealer.
