Software updates: what to expect

How to find the software version on a Jetour T2 screen, what to ask the dealer before an update, and what to check afterwards. Independent guide.

Your car runs software, like a phone. The maker or your dealer can release updates that change how the screen, gearbox response or driver aids behave. This guide helps you know what to do and what to ask.

Find your software version

On the centre screen open Setting and tap Version info, near Restore Factory Settings at the bottom of the list. It shows the MCU, SOC, system and instrument versions. Take a photo of it before and after any update.

Before an update

  1. Ask the dealer what the update changes and whether it is a recall, a campaign or an optional improvement.
  2. Make sure the car will not be needed for a while, and the battery is healthy.
  3. Note your current version and any settings you have changed (screen layout, drive mode, phone pairing).
  4. After the update, check that your phone still connects and your settings are still there.

If something feels different afterwards

Give it a few days of normal driving.

Tip. Keep the dealer's job card or message that says what was updated. If a problem starts straight after an update, that record helps.

Tip. If a warning light or loss of power appears after an update, stop safely and contact your dealer.

If unsure, stop safely and contact your dealer.

Questions owners ask

Where do I see the software version on a Jetour T2?

On the centre screen, open Setting and tap Version info, near Restore Factory Settings at the bottom of the list.

Should I do a factory reset after an update?

Ask your dealer first. A factory reset clears your saved settings, such as phone pairing and screen layout.
